This year, Snapchat introduced Discover, a new feature that brought a handful of high-profile media partners to your feed with tailored news stories and videos in an effort to boost advertising revenue.
Rather than being able to access Discover stories when you wanted to, they're now forced upon you right above the stories in your feed, along with live event coverage—whether you want to watch them or not.
Since the update, Google Play Store reviews have been flooded with complaints about battery drain, camera crashes, slower loading times, and other technical issues.
Fortunately, all of you Android users out there have a workaround (sorry, iOS users). To free up your feed, you can go back to an older version of Snapchat and hide Discover stories in their own private page.
How to Get rid of Discover Stories on Snapchat
Step 1Uninstall Latest Version of Snapchat
Installing an older version of Snapchat requires first removing the most recent version, which should be 9.12.2.0. If you want to uninstall Snapchat, go to Settings > Application Manager and double-tap Snapchat (twice).
Step 2Get Snapchat v. 9.11.0.0
After the latest update, Snapchat's Stories page no longer includes Discover, so you'll need to GET and install the older version of the app from APKMirror or the direct link below.

It'll be available in your notification tray as soon as the Installation is complete. Install it by clicking Next and then running the setup programme, and it will be ready to use in a matter of seconds.

When you open Snapchat and log in, you will no longer see Discover stories in your feed. More screen real estate means more room to enjoy your favorite photos and videos.
